Gujarat Power Engineering and Research Institute Library which is well-known as “Readers Paradise” is the heart of the institute which aims to provide an ideal ambience for both creation & dissemination of knowledge, information, insights & intellect in all its academic programs. The institute has utilized Information Technology extensively to ensure that the resources are accessible anytime from anywhere. Our role is to provide access to the information resources required by students, researchers and faculties of Engineering and Technology of the GPERI for research, learning and teaching. There is a wealth of material to support learning and research at the College with collection of over 9000+ books, 32 current subscriptions to national/international journals and 6 newspapers, 700+ CD ROMs and an extensive range of high quality electronic resources. Many resources are accessible from off-campus via the Internet.
Readers Paradise spread over 450 sq.mtr., also provides access to the best of Engineering and Technology related digital resources through its subscription to various databases consisting of scholarly and industry relevant content. The institute library is also involved in organizing various programs on Climate Change, Self-development and Communication Skills etc. The extensive library facilities includes Circulation, Reading Room with 110 seating capacity, 10 internet enabled multimedia PCs, Reprography services like Printing, Scanning & Photocopy. Readers Paradise has Organizational Membership of British Library Ahmedabad which provides wide range of UK based resources.

Institute Repository is an official repository, which serves as a memory of the GPERI recording the origin, history, development and activities of the Institute's various academic, administrative and other units since its inception. In other words, the objective of the repository is to ensure that the GPERI journey is fully documented and accurately narrated. Most records in the repository are open and available for use by students, faculty, and staff of the Institute. However, in order to protect the records and to ensure their long-term preservation and accessibility, some materials added to the Repository are not issued out from the Library.
National Program on Technology Enhanced Learning was initiated in the year 1999 by seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Indian Institute of Sciences (IISc). The main objective of NPTEL program is to enhance the quality of engineering education in the country by developing curriculum based video and web courses. The NPTEL Video and Web courses are prepared on the basis of the model curriculum of AICTE and syllabus of other major Universities. NPTEL core content includes all major Engineering disciplines i.e. Basic Science (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Management), Civil, Computer, Electrical, Mechanical etc... Readers Paradise has access to full NPTEL Video and Web Courses which is widely available for the Students and Faculty members of GPERI.
